Rossari Biotech Signs MoU with Sadara Chemical Company for Raw Material Supply

Mumbai-based specialty chemicals manufacturer Rossari Biotech Ltd. has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sadara Chemical Company, Saudi Arabia, to explore the supply of key raw materials for Rossari’s proposed specialty chemicals manufacturing facility in the Kingdom.

The MoU signing took place at Sadara Business Park in Jubail Industrial City and was attended by senior representatives from both organisations, along with officials from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy overseeing technical and regulatory affairs related to petroleum and gas.

Sadara stated that the agreement aligns with its strategic focus on strengthening industrial integration, supporting downstream chemical development, and contributing to the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 through localisation, competitiveness enhancement, and sustainable industrial growth.

Upstream–Downstream Integration Context

Earlier, Rossari had signed an MoU with Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh), a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, for the development of propoxylates and ethoxylates manufacturing in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. Under that arrangement, Rossari proposed sourcing ethylene oxide and propylene oxide from Petro Rabigh to produce downstream ethoxylates.

Rossari Biotech operates across specialty enzymes and performance chemicals catering to pharmaceuticals, personal care, construction, and allied industrial sectors. The latest MoU signals continued emphasis on backward integration and regional manufacturing expansion within the Middle East chemicals ecosystem.
