Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited Targets Rs. 5,000 Crore Turnover by 2030

Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), the state government-owned manufacturer of Mysore Sandal Soap, has set a target of achieving Rs. 5,000 crore in turnover by 2030 following record production levels in January 2026.

According to Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M. B. Patil, the PSU produced 4,894.777 metric tonnes of products in January 2026, marking an all-time high. Output included 3,798 metric tonnes in the soap segment, 941 metric tonnes in detergents, and 155 metric tonnes in cosmetics.

KSDL reported a turnover of approximately Rs. 1,800 crore in FY2024–25 and has demonstrated steady production growth over recent years. Previous milestones include 3,113 metric tonnes in September 2020, 2,744 metric tonnes in November 2021, 3,650 metric tonnes in September 2022, 4,144 metric tonnes in November 2023, 4,486 metric tonnes in March 2025, and 4,735 metric tonnes in December 2025.

The company has implemented expansion measures aimed at strengthening brand presence in North India and international markets. KSDL currently offers more than 45 products, with additional launches under development as part of its growth roadmap.
