Luxury cosmetics brand Tom Ford enters India

The make-up enthusiasts in India now will have access to all the new launches and arrivals by Tom Ford just like in many other parts of developed markets world over. The American luxury beauty and cosmetics brand, Tom Ford has introduced its beauty and perfume products range in India. The company has entered the Indian market through a partnership with Sephora stores. Tom Ford’s cosmetic products will be showcased and sold through Sephora outlets across Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Delhi. The products will also be available for sale online.

Tom Ford Beauty Products and Perfumes are positioned as luxury products with steep price points and therefore have an exclusive section of followers. The brand offers a range of products that are aimed at enhancing the features of the face and raising the glamour quotient of the personality. The range consists of highlighters, bronzers, eye shadows, night powders and lipsticks. The perfumes by Tom Ford cover a wide range of fragrances from light to intense, from heady to musky.

Tom Ford claims that the make-up artists and experts from all over the world use its Classic, Soleil and Extreme cosmetic collections to enhance the face structures and to lift up the weak areas. The uniqueness of the lipsticks, , according to the company, is that they can be worn for a long period of time without the lips drying or getting chapped. A Vogue report mentions that all the shades under the Lips and Boys Lipstick Collection of the company are named after famous men.

The products on offer

Tom Ford offers a variety of products in the bronzers section, e.g. the Soleil Nightbloom Powder which is meant for soft sculpting of the face. As the name suggests it is generally used for night parties where the lighting is soft and yellow. According to an IDiva report, the product does not have the noticeable shimmer hence its application gives a shine but without the glittery effect.

The other product from the Soleil collection is the Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil in Gold. Available in two shades this liquid bronzer is targeted at consumers with Olive or yellow undertones to their skin. Along with providing glow to the skin, it protects the skin due to the oil blends, the company claims.

The former is a combination of cream and powder shadow and using it one on top of the other only intensifies the effect along with its being able to keep the product for a longer period of time, according to the company. The latter has a duo-chrome effect that shifts between plum and shimmery blue and requires a lot of boldness to carry.

The perfumes from the Tom Ford Product bouquet are a mix bag of fragrances. Ranging from intense to intoxicating to musky, some of the prominent ones are Lys Fume and Noir de Noir.  The brand Tom Ford was launched in April of 2005 by Thomas Carlyle Ford, an American fashion designer, film director, screenwriter, and film producer. Tom Ford offered eyewear range in association with Marcolin group, beauty products in alliance with Estee Lauder and perfumes. Today, the company ranks amongst the top three brands available in most speciality stores.
