Amcor, an international packaging manufacturer specializing in responsible material solutions, has supplied a comprehensive packaging platform to support the expansion of the Inis brand portfolio into hair care. The project includes both rigid bottles and flexible tubes for Fragrances of Ireland’s established collection, Inis the Energy of the Sea.
Fragrances of Ireland has developed fragrance and personal care products for more than four decades, drawing thematic inspiration from Ireland’s coastal environment. The Inis range spans perfumes, skin care, body care, candles, and diffusers. As part of its portfolio diversification strategy, the company introduced a dedicated hair care line formulated around marine derived ingredients such as seaweed extracts and sea minerals.

To translate the new hair care concepts into market ready packs, Fragrances of Ireland engaged Crilly & Wardell Design Consultants to create a visual identity aligned with the established Inis brand. Amcor was subsequently appointed to industrialize the designs and deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.
The packaging lineup includes a 150 ml bottle with pump, a 300 ml bottle, and a 250 ml flexible tube. Material selection was optimized for performance and aesthetic consistency across formats. High density polyethylene was used for the bottles and spray components, a high density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene blend was selected for the flexible tube, and polypropylene was applied for closures.
A key technical requirement involved achieving uniform color reproduction across different polymer substrates. Amcor’s expertise in masterbatch selection and processing control enabled precise matching of the signature Inis blue shade across rigid and flexible formats. Additional brand differentiation was achieved through silver foil detailing on the logo.
The final packs are engineered to balance lightweight construction with structural durability, ensuring product protection during distribution while maintaining ease of use. The project demonstrates how coordinated material engineering, color management, and design integration can support brand extension strategies within established personal care portfolios.
